Ya Tibya Lublu. It means “I Love You” in Russian. The 400 recipes in Ya Tibya Lublu are all born of love for the children of Russia and Eastern Europe. The list includes recipes for traditional Eastern European specialties as well as everyday family favorites for everyone to enjoy.
Contributors include personal chefs; a children’s book author; a foster mother to more than 90 children; a mother of 17 biological and adopted children; and friends, family and parents of children adopted from more than 30 regions in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, along with:

Editor Lisa Finneran and her husband Michael adopted twins Nicholas Peter and Elena Marie in Arkhangel’sk, Russia, in April, 2003. One year later they learned Lisa was pregnant and in December, 2004, Lisa gave birth to the twin’s brother, Gregory Michael. Lisa will never forget the children she met at the orphanage and is committed to helping those left behind throughout Eastern Europe. “I couldn’t forget all the children we met in the orphanage in Arkhangel’sk,” she said. “To be so little, and to have so little hope, it’s just haunting.” Lisa is the founder and president of Arkangels For Russian Orphans (nonprofit status pending). A graduate of Syracuse University, Lisa works part-time as a reporter with a Tribune Co. owned newspaper in Virginia and as a freelance writer.
Celebrity coordinator Jane Waldman and her husband Mark Braverman adopted their beautiful daughter Elaina from Arkhangel’sk, Russia in December of 2004. She is the love of their lives. For the past 15 years Jane has been an entertainment correspondent for The Associated Press Radio Network. She also runs her own New York City based executive search firm, Waldman & Company, which specializes in placing public relations professionals. A graduate of Cornell University, Jane is committed to helping orphans in Russia.
Graphics designer Rita Binns was born and raised in Voronezh, Russia, and now lives in Mitchell, Ontario, Canada with her two sons, a golden retriever and two hamsters. Rita came to Canada in 1993 with just two modest suitcases. “I am not an orphan, but I know what it is like to live somewhere without any hope or future.” She now works as a web programmer, graphics artist and technical support specialist, and has her own web design company, Pretty Wings Web Projects, at www.prettywings.com. “All my love to the little darlings out there and wish that loving families will find them soon.”
